    DAS alles würde für mich so RICHTIG Sinn machen wenn mir mal einer verraten könnte warum mein DUAL 2x1GHZ Quicksilver NACH dem UpDate auf Jaguar (importieren) vom TiBook 667 eines Kollegen locker abgehangen wird... und ich bekommen langsam die Idee irgendjemanden für Jaguar zu würgen :-(

    Nun meine Frage:
    Diese Messung machte ich mit meinem Programm wählte aber meine externe Firewireplatte aus. Diese scheint eine recht viel grössere Performence zu haben, als die interne HD des PBs. Nun mein Frage: Würde es sich lohnen, mein System auf die externe HD zu kopieren und von dort aufzustarten. Würde dies meine allgmeine Performance des PBs erhöhen?

    Wahrscheinlich schon, ich habe auch eine Deskstar IBM 70 GB drin, die Werksinterne 9 GB ist deutlich langsamer.

    Es hängt aber auch davon ab, wie häufig Dein Rechner swapped (kannst Du per TOP im Terminal anschauen wieviel Pagein /Pageouts drin stehen oder mit IPulse Dir schön graphisch darstellen lassen.

    Ich habe in meinem nur 320 MB, manchmal muß er also schon auf die Platte auslagern und da macht sich die schnellere Platte doch bemerkbar.

    Hey Ihr "Bencher" :)

    mich würde brennend interessieren inwieweit eingeschaltete Jaguar-Features und dabei meine ich ganz speziell die Bedienungshilfen - mein "Liebling": Zoom - die System-Performance MESSBAR beeinflussen.
    Vielleicht wäre ja einer von Euch so nett und macht da mal einen Bench-Vergleich.

    Ach mach das Spiel selber.

    Ps den Thread solte man nun nicht unbedingt ernst nehmen. ;-)

    Da man vor dem Benchmarktest alle laufenden Programme beenden soll,damit ein genaues Ergebniss herauskommen soll, wird sich die Bench auch verändern,wenn die im Hintergrund laufenden Processe reduziert werden.

    gerade weil ich den Thread NICHT bierernst nehme dachte ich mir: wäre doch mal ein netter Test aus der PRAXIS. Leider habe ich Deinen Einwand mit den im Hintergrund laufenden Proz nicht ganz durchschaut... als eigenständige Programme kann man die Bedienungshilfen-Features doch kaum bezeichnen. Selba gerade auf die Schnelle könnte ichs nochnichteinmal jetzt machen (hehe!) weil ich gerade nicht am Quicksilver sitze sondern am Wallstreet... und DAS ist eh langsam :eek:)
